Why we built this
After 20 years in group travel — including helping scale a business to over $1 billion in revenue and thousands of trips globally — one thing was clear: the industry was forcing everyone to start from scratch.
Buyers were sending RFPs into a void and waiting weeks for generic proposals. Planners were doing spec work for deals that never closed. And the best itineraries — the ones that had already been executed, refined, and proven — were sitting in a planner's files, invisible to the buyers who needed them.
TripEngine is the fix. Planners publish their real programs. Buyers discover them, evaluate the work before engaging, and request a customized version. No cold outreach. No spec proposals. No wasted time on either side.
The marketplace model works everywhere else in the world. It was time for group travel to catch up.
